The weather where we are has turned wet and chilly. I wore my angora wool sweater twice this week and in all likelihood, we will get snow by the weekend.
Hello again. Mary Merryweather here.
As the local views correspondent for the Embroiled News I receive all sort of mail including post cards from many of our thoughtful readers. I also find interesting the various subjects depicted on these many post cards like this one I’ve posted below.
It was sent by a young man who described himself as a U.S. military veteran, served in Iraq, and has been trying to find work for the last two years. He mentions that he is traveling cross country in search of greener pastures but until now has only found dry weed patches. I found it ironic that he chose to send this post card from Crawford, Texas with the picture of our former president with his two accomplices who escalated the economic downturn we are still experiencing now, more than ten years later. They got it right on this post card, however, when they mentioned that the three amigos had systematically lied, given us needless wars, reduced our freedoms, failed our economy which caused a world wide recessions. Don’t get me wrong. In many peculiar ways I like republicans and democrats. Herold, my husband is a staunch conservative republican from way back, and we get along just fine at home. However, when I’m in the office, it’s a different matter. I tell it like I see it, and many of you devoted Embroiled News readers know exactly what I mean.
Lets for example analyze this post card and look closely at the posture of the three amigos. Their body language tells me that they are defiant, un-apologetic, and have a, we have done nothing wrong attitude. If they were you or me, we would have been charged with incompetence, derelict of duty, fined and served jail time.
I must say that this one, is a very good post card and many more like it should be sent to our current federal justice department as a reminder where justice should be served.
My, my. This post card has certainly raised the beat of my sweet palpating heart. I even feel a tingle all over and can’t hardly wait to know what will be the topic on the next post card.
Please stay bundled up during the next few weeks. Global warming will give us an early spring, . . . sooner than it’s naturally needed.
Mary Merryweather
